The Compliance and Best Tax Practices Congress was held in Madrid. Organised by the Lefebvre legal publishing house, it has become one of the major events addressing the latest trends in the tax world.
'Best tax practices are neither a fashion nor a purpose. They entail a whole system that could be compared to the model of countries such as Great Britain or the Netherlands.' Juan Pujol, President of Lefebvre, opened the congress with these words. The session gathered 450 people and was joined by 40 national and international experts, who addressed the implementation of best tax practices by companies and Administrations within the framework of new international taxation. Our colleague Manuel Díaz Corral was one of these experts, taking part in the debate on 'Compliance and responsibility for tax offences.'
Throughout the session, attendees got to receive training on cooperative compliance in tax matters, practices to prevent and minimise risks, as well as common Compliance Tax practices used in other jurisdictions.
