The Energy Commission of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (CAMESCOM) hosted a cocktail which was joined by Lorenzo Hernandez, Partner at ONTIER Mexico and Secretary of the Commission
He noted that Mexican companies with Spanish capital want to continue investing in Mexico: 'We are not here for the short term. We are here to stay and contribute to the development of this great country.'
Throughout the event, Mexican companies with Spanish capital reaffirmed their intention to continue with long-term investment in Mexico, with an encouraging outlook for the energy sector in the country. Among the relevant issues for 2019, the autonomy and future of the main organisations within the energy sector in Mexico, the relevance of renewable energies in the national energy mix, the definition of the regulations on indigenous consultation and social impact of energy projects, and the review of contracts assigned in oil rounds, were some of the topics discussed.
